7 Refreshing Summer Drinks

One of the main reasons why we love summer is because of its refreshing and fabulous drinks: because let’s be honest, there’s nothing like enjoying a delicious cocktail with a hot summer weather. So that’s why we decided to make a list to inspire you with our favorite summer drink recipes so you can prepare them at home.
1. Raspberry Limoncello: Bubbly and refreshing, perfect for a summer afternoon.
-3 white wine cups, chilled
-8 ounces limoncello liqueur
-1 cup frozen raspberries
-6 sprigs fresh mint
Pour the white wine and the limoncello liqueur in a large pitcher. Then, serve the mixture in a glass and add the raspberries. Decorate it with the sprigs of mint and voilá!
2. Watermelon Mojito: A tropical explosion in a glass, perfect to toast with your friends while having dinner!
-30 fresh mint leaves
-4 thick slices fresh watermelon
-12 ounces light rum
-1/2 cup simple syrup
-6 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
-Sprigs of mint and spears of watermelon.
Use a mortar to mash the mint leaves. Remove and throw away the rind and seeds of the watermelon. Put the fruit into a blender until pureed. Add and combine all the ingredients into a large pitcher, then serve ice cold in a nice glass decorated with sprig mint and spears of watermelon and enjoy!
3. Mango Margarita: A fresh summer classic with all the ingredients you need to enjoy a perfect sunny day.
-3 ounces of your favorite tequila
-2 ounces orange liqueur
-4 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
-1 fresh mango
-1 cup of ice
Pour all the ingredients into a blender and blend until slushy. Then, pour it into your favorite glass and enjoy a delicious Margarita!

4. Mai Thai: Refreshing and sweet! A must-drink for a beach sunny day.
-1 tablespoon grenadine
-2 ounces of orange juice
-1 ounce of pineapple juice
-1 freshly squeezed lime juice
-1 ounce of black rum
-1 ounce of white rum
Combine all the ingredients into a blender with ice! Shake the mixture in a glass and drink!
Give an extra summer touch with a slice of pineaple or a cute umbrella.
5. Caipirinha: Mmm.. que coisa mais deliciosa! A Brazilian traditional that will take your breath away.
-2 limes cut in half (without the white center)
-2 ounces cachaça (find it in any international liquor store)
-1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
Smash the limes smoothly in a glass until getting all the juice out. Pour the cachaça and the lime juice in the glass and mix everything up! Add crushed ice and whisk lightly. Congrats! Now you have a little piece of Brazil at home!
6. Red Macaw: One of Xel-Ha’s specials and also visitors´ favorite is this colorful and refreshing drink, just perfect to relax in a hammock while listening to Caribbean music.
-1 ounce melon liqueur
-1/2 ounces stawberry liqueur
-1/2 ounces orange juice
-1/2 ounces white rum
Pour a glass with ice and add the melon liqueur, then the rum, the orange juice, and finally add the strawberry liqueur carefully. It looks like a rainbow in a glass, doesn’t it?
7. Clericot: Ideal for those summer nights when you want to match a delicious dinner with a fruity drink.
-1 apple in cubes
-1 cup of strawberries in cubes
-1 cup of peach in cubes
-1 grapegruit in wedges
-2 cups of lemon-lime soda
-2 cups of red wine
-1/2 cup of vodka
-2 tablespoons of sugar
Put all the fruits in the bottom of a pitcher, then add the wine, the vodka and the lemon-lime soda. Put the sugar while mixing it all up and finally pour it in a fancy glass.
